Air-Cooled and Water-Cooled Chillers and Mini-Chillers
A chiller is a device that uses the process of distillation and evaporation of a refrigerant, such as R22/R134a, circulating between the components of a compression chiller, to transfer heat from one part of the device to another in a cycle. The chiller’s job is to cool water for air conditioning in buildings or for industrial applications. The chilled water in the chiller is pumped through piping to air distribution units such as fan coils located inside the building or to a central air handling unit.
